TEGHUT PROTECTING GROUP

We have a meeting club in Manana centre, where we meet different people of different professions. Yesterday our guests were 3 members of Teghut protecting group: Marine Tavaratsyan, Mariam Sukhudyan, Samvel Hovhannisyan. Some people want to cut the forest to get copper, molibden and other metals. Those people promised to plant the trees again. But before planting they should think about the trash. Of course they would get rid of it polluting the nearest rivers and fields. I'm not sure they think about people who live not far from the forest and get harvest from there. So, Teghut protecting group fights for saving the forest. They have made a lot of demonstrations, concerts and exhibitions and plan to do more. For more information visit www.bigfamily.am.

MODULE #2- 7.INTERNET

I spend on Internet from 1 to 2 hours a day. At first I check my e-mail. I'm registered on www.facebook.com and www.16.am. I like to find lyrics of my favourite songs. Sometimes I read news on Internet.

MODULE #2- 6.COMPUTERS

I haven't got my own computer, but I can use it easily. I've studied how to work on a computer in college. I edit photos, listen to music, drow by computer.

MODULE #2- 5.VIDEO GAMES

I don't like video games much. One could read an interesting book or learn somehting new instead of wasting his time on video games. Some people spend the whole day in front of the monitores. Fortunatly I don't belong to the number of such people.

MODULE #2- 4.TELEVISION

I can't watch TV much now, as because of sitting close to TV, I've already managed to spoil my eyes. Now I wear glasses. But, of course, there are programmes, which I can't miss, even with the cost of my eyes. I watch all the intellectual, scientific and musical programmes.

MODULE #2- 3.MUSIC!

Music is my life. Whenever I listen to music, I feel myself out of this world, somewhere in the space. I like to listen to such kinds of music as pop and jazz. I also enjoy listening to people playing the guitar. I listen to music via MP3 files, radio, etc. At present I enjoy Beyonse's new album called "I am ... Sasha Fierce". Especially I like her 3 songs: "Halo", "Ave Maria", "Sweat dreams". I also like Kanye West's 2 songs: "Love lockdown" and "Heartless"

MODULE# 2- 2. NEWSPAPERS/MAGAZINES

I like reading newspapers more than magazines, because the former contains more useful information than the second, at least in Armenia. But, of course, there are some magazines, which are quite interesting. I enjoy reading newspapers and magazines about culture, science and health.

MODULE #2- 1. BOOKS

My teacher says if you want to learn a language, you must read books on that language. As you know I like languages therefore I like reading. My favourite genre is comedy. I also like detective books and romances. Now I read a book by Arthur Conan Doyle called "THE ADVENTURES OF SHERLOCK HOLMS". My favourite authors are A. Duma, M. Twain, J. Austen.

St. SARGIS's day

Yesterday I went to church in connection with the St. SARGIS's day. There was very interesting, and I took some photographs. According to the tradition, that day young girls and boys eat a piece of cake made of a very salty dough, cooked by an unmarried girl. One must eat the salty cake and go to bed without drinking a single drop of water so that to see his/her future wife/husband giving him/her water!

1. My name is Lilit. I'm 15. I'm from Yerevan, Armenia. We are a family of 4: mother, father, little brother and me, of course. I am at the 10-th form. I do well at all the subjects. Especially I like chemistry, biology, literature and languages. I know English, Russian, Ukrainian. I have also learnt Japanese for a year. I would like to learn Italian, Spanish and French too. I want to become a psychologist. But I'm going to work as ajournalist. I attend Manana centre, where I learn journalism, photography, film-making. I don't want to seem haughty, or to overrate my abilities, but my friends say I am quite active, witty and diligent person. 2. The latest film I saw, was «How to lose friends and alienate people». It was about a young journalist who prefered to write the truth and be hated, than to publish untrue information and be «respected» for it. 3. I'd like to talk about ecological state in our block. I am very concerned about it. People don't understand that polluting nature, they spoil their own organisms. Once I asked my friends to clean the sportsground we play in, but they refused saying it would be a shame for them. They don't think cleaning their houses is a shameful work. Don't they understand that the Earth is our big home? 4.As I have a little experiance in such kind of workshops I can share it with the other participants. I can also suggest interesting issues to talk about.
